I have worked in the fitness industry for 20 years. I love exercising. My personal and professional passion has evolved over the years and more recently has grown to working with women following pregnancy. Spanning a vast array of exercise experience, in everything from Bootcamp to Tai Chi instructing, boxing to aqua sessions, combined with personal experience with meditation and yoga, I love bringing variety, enjoyment and support to my sessions.
My story to how I got to forming Tiny Ladder starts in 2009. In 2009 I had moved on from Physical Education teaching and I was loving my work as a Personal trainer, group exercise and Pilates instructor. I was also married and expecting my first child. In 2009, I experienced a stillbirth. This changed the course of my life. When I felt emotionally and physically ready to return to exercise, I didn’t know where to go. My post natal body couldn’t handle group exercise classes or PT sessions and I certainly didn’t want to attend mums and bubs classes.
However, over time, I slowly returned to my trade and my smile emerged again; my passion was reignited.
Starting the conversation
Following the loss of my baby, I developed a crystal clear vision: To assist women following pregnancy loss to meet, talk and participate in post natal exercise with qualified instructors in a safe and supportive space.
I want to enable exercise classes and personal training studios to be inclusive of this group of post natal women.
